About me

Alex Pfost

Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, & Wellness Coach

I help busy professional men get leaner, stronger, and more energized without turning fitness into another full-time job.

The short version

I’m not coaching this from the outside looking in.

I’ve been training for over a decade, but I also know what it feels like to try to stay healthy while working a demanding corporate job, managing a packed schedule, and still wanting a life outside of work.

My background is in corporate consulting, where long days, client demands, travel, and mental fatigue are normal. That experience shapes the way I coach. I’m not interested in giving busy men plans that only work during a perfect week. The goal is to build a system that holds up when work gets chaotic, motivation dips, and real life starts pulling at your attention.

01

Training has been part of my life for years.

I grew up playing sports and started lifting in high school because I wanted to feel stronger and more capable. Over time, training became more than a way to look better. It became an anchor for my routine, my confidence, and my ability to handle pressure.

02

I understand the corporate grind because I still live it.

I’ve worked full-time in consulting while building Live Better on the side. I know the 6am starts, long days, decision fatigue, missed workouts, late dinners, and the feeling that your best energy goes to everyone except yourself.

03

My life is not just the gym.

Outside of coaching and work, I enjoy training for half-marathons and HYROX, playing with my dogs, spending time with my fiancee, reading, listening to podcasts, traveling, cooking, reading comic books, and spending quality time with family & friends. I believe there’s much more to life than work and the gym.

Why Live Better exists

Because health should give you your life back. It should not become another full-time job.

For a long time, I thought better results meant more intensity, more restriction, and more complicated routines. More training days. More rules. More discipline. More pressure to make everything perfect.

Eventually, I realized that approach was missing the point. The best fitness plan on paper is useless if your actual life can’t support it. And for most busy men, the problem is not a lack of information. It’s that their health, energy, relationships, and identity keep getting whatever is left after work takes the first cut.

I created Live Better to help men build realistic systems for training, nutrition, sleep, movement, and mental well-being so they can lose fat, build strength, and feel present in the life they’re working so hard to create.

Some men need the personalization and accountability of 1:1 coaching. Others need the structure and community of the Live Better Brotherhood. Either way, the mission is the same: help you stop starting over and build a version of health that actually fits your life.
